BAY CASH HOMES · SELLER RESOURCES
Reviewed October 23, 2026.
A sale may be possible, but timing matters
A homeowner may be able to sell before a foreclosure sale is completed. Whether a transaction can actually close depends on ownership, title, debt, required approvals, and available time. Do not treat a general statement as confirmation for your property.
Get current payoff information
Ask for accurate loan payoff amounts and identify other liens or obligations. Compare the proposed sale price with all amounts needed at closing. If the proceeds are insufficient, lender approval or another arrangement may be required.
Involve the right professionals early
Have the escrow and title professionals review the transaction, and obtain legal advice about the foreclosure deadline. The buyer should understand the schedule and disclose any conditions that could delay funding.
Do not confuse a contract with a postponed auction
Signing with a buyer does not itself stop foreclosure. Confirm the status of a scheduled sale with the responsible parties and continue working with your servicer and advisers.
Request an offer with realistic expectations
Bay Cash Homes can assess a potential purchase in the home’s current condition. Tell us about notices and deadlines at the start. We cannot promise that every transaction can close in time or that a sale removes prior credit consequences.
